Steve started raising Polled Herefords in 1974 with his family at their Creekside Ranch in Sonoma, CA.

While attending CSU Chico he met his wife Cindy which was also working on an Ag degree. Cindy was raised around horses in Southern Calif.

Steve managed Creekside Ranch into the 90's.  During this time they started a retail Feed & Garden enterprise which grew into 4 locations and a seed mill for manufacturing bird seed.

In 2001 the untimely death of Steve's dad Stu changed the family’s direction.  Steve and Cindy sold a few locations and purchased the Oroville ranch and the top end of the Creekside herd.

Currently the family enjoys the ranch lifestyle. The Lambert's incorporate cattle ranching consisting of Horned & Polled Herefords, Angus, Alfalfa & Grain Hays and a Pheasant Club on their 700 acre ranch.
